Beautiful C17 moated house (not open). Gardens and woods full of bulbs and wild flowers in spring. Herbaceous border and lawns. Moat flanked by water plants. Mature trees, wild garden, ducks, chickens and fish.

The Garden House, 5 Warleigh Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 4NT
Tucked away in the heart of the city this really is a secret garden, in Victorian times a market garden. The garden is organic and gives interest all year-round, supporting cut flowers, vegetables, fruit, old climbing roses and a pond. Many of the plants have been propagated by the garden owner, and the garden has unique features using many recycled materials. Garden produce and plants for sale.
Saturday 21, Sunday 22 April (11.30am – 4pm). Admission £5.00, children free.

Large number of perennials. Some will be available for sale along with other plants. Pictures of how the garden was constructed are also available for viewing. Owner will be present to answer questions and to give garden tips and advice. Free gifts to children to encourage them to grow things.

Walled and other gardens surrounding lovely C15 stone house (not open); bulbs, flowering shrubs, roses, ponds, and potager. Many unusual and rare trees and shrubs. In late spring the wisterias are spectacular. The heady scent of hybrid musk roses fills the walled garden in June. In late summer the garden is ablaze with dahlias, sedums, late roses, sages and Japanese anemones.
