Before establishing my own garden design practice I gained experience working in habitat management and conservation. After this I set up own garden maintenance business whilst also studying to be a Garden Designer. Working maintaining gardens helped to improve my knowledge about how plants work together to create a unified scheme and also how they respond to different aspects and locations.
Once qualified as a Garden Designer, I gained invaluable work experience working within larger high profile design and landscaping companies. These included Roger Platts (winner of numerous gold medals at the Chelsea flower show) and well known Chichester based landscapers, Millstone Landscapes Ltd. This work experience helped me to understand more about the logistics of running projects and about the technicalities of the hard landscaping aspects of the gardens I created.
Since setting up my own design business I have also won medals at both The Hampton Court Flower Show and The Malvern Spring Gardening Show, (Gold, Silver – Gilt And Silver & Winner of The Most Creative Garden Award). In total I have staged 5 gardens and prior to these I was a finalist in Channel 4’s The Great Garden Challenge (2005).
I work with a dedicated team to bring garden designs to life. For all projects I have long standing relationships with a network of reliable and trustworthy contractors, ensuring that clients have access to the best trade contacts.
With practical experience and a sensitive approach to the use of materials, plants and space, I am able to ensure that all projects are run professionally and within the expectations of my clients. Whatever the budget, it is possible to transform your garden into an amazing and inspirational space suitable for your needs. By entrusting your garden to my experience and creative vision, you will be reassured of your gardens future as a unique space to delight, stimulate and inspire for years to come.
