A small garden in a new build house that was required to be low in maintenance while still retaining the clients passion for plants. A simple scheme utilising modern materials including  Composite Decking and Artificial Grass provide the clients with a scheme that was easy to maintain with enough planting to create seasonal interest throughout the year.

“We moved into a new house at the beginning of January 2013 which had a typical builders’ quick fix garden at the front and solid clay with puddles at the rear. We asked Alex to come and have a look and cutting the story short he provided several illustrated designs from which we chose the one that appealed to us most.He recommended a landscape gardener to deal with the heavy work (back and front) who installed a new close boarded fence, the one put up by the builders being so poor, replacing much of the clay with loam brought in, laying an artificial lawn and constructing a deck at the back of the house. All satisfactorily completed without fuss and on budget. Alex then came back to discuss the type of planting which was suitable for the site and that we liked, ordered the plants and which he planted to great effect. Now the garden is less than two and a half years old and looks as if it has been here for ever! Needless to say we are very happy.”
