An Urban Harvest

Hampton Court Flower Show 2011 –  RHS SILVER MEDAL

An Urban Harvest was designed to encourage developers, designers, planners and local authorities to incorporate food growing in contemporary design and to celebrate the work of hundreds of community food growing projects across urban settings. The purpose of the garden was to help raise the profile of community based food projects across London. It aims were to provide support and ideas for urban design initiatives and encourage community development through horticulture and urban agriculture. The garden was used as a resource to show how a small space can be creative, productive and inspiring. It aimed to help maximise the potential of similar community based food projects in the London area and raise the profile of edible landscaping & design. This Garden was also featured on Gardeners World.
